Educate and talk to your kids about the dangers and responsibilities associated with using a cell phone. Explain the difference between acceptable and unacceptable behavior. Make sure to set time limits to use and when it should be turned off and placed in the parent's care. Without clearly defined guidelines, your teenager could be misguided and end up being victim.

Absolutely I would have to agree, the key to dealing with difficult behavior would seem to be the approach taken by the teacher. I will certainly take some of these points on board.
ReplyDeleteSetting boundaries is absolutely vital to raising all around good kids. If you can't set borders, how can you expect your kids to do so later in life?
ReplyDeleteI have to say, as a father I am a little overprotective of my daughter, but not as much with my son. I educate them both on making good decisions, but I find that I check up more on my daughter. Perhaps it is because I was once a young man, and know the type of predator is out there lurking. My job is to keep my son from becoming one, and protecting my daughter from falling victim.
